3 Things You Need In Your Life

Having worked in Space NK when I was younger I have built up a great knowledge of products in the skincare world. I think as you get older its a trial and error game while you try to get to know your skin type and what it likes and what it doesn't. They say your hair changes every 7 years, and to be be honest I believe your skin does too. I always love trying new products out to see if 'they do what they say they do on the tin'.

Cleanse, tone, moisturise repeat. I have always stuck by this unwritten law of beauty, and to be honest it has never let me down.

Cleanser- Eve Lom £42

At the moment I cleanse my skin every day with Eve Lom Balm Cleanser (as seen in vogue). It comes with a cloth which is useful, it has multiple oils in it which is great for dry skin, and extremely soothing, especially with the Winter months coming up.  I also find oil based cleansers to be the best because they take off makeup the best, mascara is always an ache to get off, but not with this cleanser!

Toner- Nars Toner £23

I never really use to see the point in toners if I'm honest but after speaking to beauty experts/Make-Up Artists over the years and reading beauty articles I have finally come to the realisation that a toner is definitely a crucial member of the team when it comes to skincare, so don't brush it under the rug! It contains a gentle exfoliator and has hydrating properties within it which my skin loves.

Moisturiser- Chantecaille Flower Harmonising Cream £88
This Beauty is my god send. I discovered Chantecaille when I was younger, my Mum has always used Chantecaille so I grew up around it but could never afford it. Now I work full time it is a luxury to be able to use their products, it also reminds me of my Mum. The cream should really say 'Magic' on the jar, because it is truly amazing. It reduces redness, it nourishes and hydrates skin while locking in moisture and can be used as a night cream. I simply cannot live without it. I also love using there Bamboo and Hibiscus Exfoliator once a week.

Summer Closure

As Summer draws to a close...hold up, what Summer? I feel like I've been waiting for months for the sun to come out and now its all over! T y p i c a l British weather. I'm actually looking forward to winter so I can get my heavy cable knitted jumpers out and knee high boots.

But first..

Bali, the place where dreams are made of. Its like paradise apparently, so its on my bucket list of things to do before I die. A friend of mine brought me this top back from one of the markets out there, and its just beautiful, its made from real silk and has the most intricate pattern on it. I decided to post this last Summer look in hopes well get an indian Summer and a few weeks of Sunshine before Winter swoops in.  I matched my Bali silk top with my Topshop shorts and my new ASOS fringed ombre bag. I like the warmth the colours bring to this outfit, the oranges and light pinks really complete the outfit.

Flirty Florals

This beautiful number is from Another Eight, a brand I recently discovered in Topshop Oxford Circus. Once again I decided to clash the dress with some chunky footwear, my trusted ASOS boots, some people may not like this look but..as you can tell from previous posts, I love a good clash. The dress is a really stunning shape it has halter neck and its completely backless. I originally bought this to wear at Henley Regatta but decided to save it for something else. The thing I love about dresses, is that if you choose the right one they tend to speak for themselves, little jewellery is needed and there so easy to fling on when your in a rush! I don't ever buy orange but I think the colour makes the dress pop against the soft white of the body of the dress. So there we have it, my first ever white dress to join my wardrobe and it won't be the last!

Sneaker peak

Having lived in America for nearly ten years, trainers were a huge part of my life growing up. Over the years they have become a 'must have' in the wardrobe especially a pair of white trainers (or sneakers as the yanks would say). I recently saw a photo of Pamela Anderson in the early 90's (below) which is where the inspiration for this look came from. The All Saints wrap dress is so gorgeous and drapes well over the body, I know I bang on about things draping all the time but if it drapes its more than welcome in my wardrobe! I enjoy the clash between the floaty dress and the harsh white trainer, the dress is really versatile but it also means if you style it up in a slightly different way you can change the whole look of how you want it to be purceived, heels for example would turn this from a day time look to a Saturday night out look. I like contradicting the dress with the trainer, I added the chain belt to compliment the outfit and my Urban Outfitters velvet vintage-look cardigan.
