St Tropez Gradual Tan Body Wash- does it really work?

I was reading the latest beauty edition of 'Style Magazine' and came across an advertisement for this St Tropez 'body wash' and I have to say I was instantly infatuated with the idea of have a body wash that can gradually tan you over time?! What girl doesn't love a bit of a tan? Especially during the Summer months. St Tropez has been my bread and butter for years now, I have veered off the beaten path to other brands for that desired glow but none have ever come close to St Tropez. The gradual tan they do is not only moisturising but nourishing at the same time and of course after a weeks use, you really start to see the results. So off I went to boots and of course there was a deal on 'buy one get one half price' so I bought the new body wash and my gradual tan, because of course you'd assume they go hand in hand right? correct. The two products really do marry each other, and although the wash takes a while before you see results it really enhances the gradual moisturiser. So how do you use it? Its simple, exfoliate at the start of the week once, then lather yourself in the product once wet, wait 3 minutes and rinse. Now, you might be wondering what can you do in 3 minutes, I usually put a hair or face mask so that I am doing something productive while I wait for the tan to activate. The bottle advises you to 'pat yourself dry' to save you wiping away any product which will start to be gradually activating now, slap on your gradual tan moisturiser and your good to go. You should start to see results in a week, so my answer to your question is- yes it does really work!

Dress- Free People
Belt- Topshop
Shoes-ASOS
(next one is September the 13th!)

So I found this gorgeous bohemian white dress on Free People, the fabric drapes off the body and the cutouts on the shoulders make it so flattering to wear, the slits in the skirt give it movement when you walk, and the fabric is just gorgeous and light. This outfit looks complicated but I threw it together in a  few minutes, we all like a bit of simplicity! The chunky seventies heel is from no other than ASOS, I've blogged these a few times because there so easy to finish off an outfit and ridiculously comfortable. The bag is from the 'Frock Me Vintage Fair' in Chelsea which I've been to 3 times now and always seem to find hidden treasures, it was made before the 50's and the stitching is really impressive, I think the fabric might even be croc? perfect for Summer this outfit really does speak for itself, happy blogging!

Hump Day Heroin chic

Happy hump day! So this outfit was truly inspired by the 'heroin chic' trend I discovered last season, this trend has been floating around for some time and really came from Kate Moss when she was at her prime in the 90's. The effortless, slightly tom boyish look is a great go too when your in a lazy mood and need a quick chuck on. This T-shirt I have actually previously blogged before (from Weekday) I love it so much I felt like it deserved a second post! Weekday do the most divine t-shirts if you haven't checked them out already go! I found the brand on ASOS, where I usually discover emerging cool brands and now I shop them all the time. I topped the outfit off with a pair of easy black pointed black heels from no where else than Primark! These lovely fitting Mom jeans are from Urban Outfitters, they go with just about any top I have, and highlight my legs without being too baggy!

Perfect Polazzo

Top- ASOS

Polazzo pants! I've recently discovered this type of trouser, its almost like the update of the flare. I have to say I would of never of guessed these were from Abercrombie & Fitch, I remember the good old days when I use to only go in there to buy slogan t-shirts and tracksuits! But wow have they done their homework this season, their summer collection is littered with Bohemian dresses, playsuits and these stunning trousers! The movement really makes these trousers, and they seem to have a slimming affect as well! I paired these with my lovely backless top from ASOS and my Urban Outfitters heels. Happy Friday!

Slits and Bits

Photography- www.ionamacleod.com

Happy Thursday guys, no tube strike will get me down! okay so I've been looking for a nice shirt dress for a while (there are few and far) and finally browsing ASOS I found one, from a brand I'll be honest isn't one I am familiar with. I know Miss Guided of course, but I've never explored what they have to offer, their price point is really low which makes it easy to shop as you can get more than one thing! This shirt dress is a gorgeous light silk like material with 2 slits. The slits really are the star of the show for without them there would be no movement (and of course the print!). I matched them with my Aldo knee high boots, I was actually a bit sad to lock these boots away this Summer as I presumed they would be to hot but there actually fine and I've definitely got my wear out of them.

Millie Mac Mondays

Happy Monday kids, so to start the week I thought I would post this fresh, easy and simplistic outfit together I threw together. I have been browsing the new Millie Mackintosh collection for weeks now, and finally on payday I thought I would treat myself. This wrap top really is a wardrobe must-have for girls this season, its easy to pair with just about anything in your wardrobe and its great for when the weather is hot as the fabric is very breathable. The sleeve almost has a blouson effect which I love, and sets this aside from any wrap top I've seen so far! I paired this with my new Glassons denim shorts, if you haven't checked out Glassons already (check them out here) they are a cool brand from New Zealand I recently discovered and they do just about everything you need for your Summer wardrobe! Obviously my Knee highs married well with both top and short. We shot this look at about 8pm at night for this shoot, the sun glare was gorgeous though the buildings behind!
